Looks like Pennsylvania. The parent carrier is a charter airline by trade.

An observation not yet mentioned...the new BA flight, by itself, will constitute approximately 1% of any overall passenger growth observed at ABIA in 2014.

A jet flight to Houston and a transfer to another flight to Austin would have cost about twice as much. TTA eventually upgraded their fleet to small jets, but they disappeared in mergers years ago.
My first airplane ride was a TTA DC-3 from Dallas Love Field to Brownwood in 1968. I still remember looking out the window and seeing the big red neon Coca Cola sign in front of the bottling plant on the corner of Mockingbird and Lemon.

I think at 23 I'm significantly younger than a lot of y'all but the first flight I remember was a flight to San Antonio out of Mueller. The exact route was AUS>SAT>SLC>HLN if you can believe that.

American just announced new non-stop service to Miami. It was the only one of the pre-merger AA hubs that we didn't have direct service to. Should make for easier connections to the Carribean and South America.

Once it took me 10 hours to get to Miami, and then another four to get to my final destination.

AA did have n/s service to RDU from 2004-2008 when RDU was still considered one of their focus cities. Unfortunately, I think in this situation the merger makes bringing back this route less likely. Even with an increase in demand to fly to RDU, they'll just increase capacity (frequency or plane size) to nearby CLT, the hub picked up from US Air.

What Other Non-Stop Destinations?

Let me throw out a question or two that I have been thinking about for a little while. With the addition of Miami what other destinations both domestic and international do we need from Austin? Can any additional destinations be supported and will succeed? What other air carriers do we need at Austin? Does Austin need more air carriers like Texas Star that flies smaller prop planes to smaller Texas cities? Would Southwest flying to Mexico City be a success?
Albuquerque?
Amarillo?
Corpus Christi?
Toronto?
College Station?
Midland?
Tyler?
Fort Hood/Killeen?
Beaumont?
Tokyo?
Seoul?
Paris?
Germany?
Cozumel?
Calgary?
Raleigh/Durham?
Waco?
Abilene, TX?
San Angelo?
Oklahoma City?
Orange County, CA?

International: Seoul, Frankfrut, Toronto, Tokyo. Paris could also work in my opinion.
Domestic: St. Louis upgraded to year-round, Albuquerque.

As for routes that probably won't happen but I want: Buffalo NY, Madison WI, Reykjavík/Keflavíkurflugvöllur Iceland

Absolutely. Korean Air, Lufthansa, ANA or JAL.

Need? Perhaps. I think the big restriction is that a lot of areas just aren't covered by EAS which Texas Sky will be using to operate their routes. Personally I feel that an AUS-MEX route on Southwest would be more successful than the Aeromar flight. Honestly I think that any larger company such as AeroMéxico would have a bit more success. I feel like brand name recognition is a big player in the issues with Aeromar's route. If I'm not mistaken the only other US destination they serve is McAllen and I feel like the fact that they're relatively unknown is a big factor.

I'll answer this quickly with my first impression.
Yes, maybe, maybe, yes, no, maybe, no, no, maybe

Absolutely, absolutely, yes, yes, maybe, yes, maybe, no, maybe, maybe, probably, I wouldn't be surprised.

According to this - http://airlineroute.net/2014/10/14/ba-w15update1/ - BA's LHR-AUS routing will see the 777 daily starting in October 2015.

That seems a little out there for planning purposes, but it does lend credence to the rumor of the aircraft swap.

I was told by BA the swap is happening as they return all of their 787s for some re configurations. The route will likely go back to 787 at some point. Btw I took the flight 2 weeks ago. On way out business class and premium were full. Coach about 2/3 full. On way back coach was 80% full, premium full and only a few in biz class.

I've got flights on 190/191 booked for my winter vacation. Last year I had to go AUS > DFW > LHR > LCN which took well over 27 hours and now it's only AUS > LHR > ARN.

The East Terminal Infill construction has progressed nicely. Maybe I'll get out and take a low-quality photo after class tomorrow.

Pictures of the progress on the CONRAC and the new flyover from that would be nice too!
