I'm not sold on the transition from office to residential but, Telus Sky is much more creative than this basic elliptical tower. Telus Sky has a great streetwall and interface compared to this one too.

The glass should be really clean with minimum spandrel as you can see in the above drawing how they addressed the dropped ceiling. The only question will be if the glass in the curtain wall is actually curved.

Have to agree there. Is is a nice tower but not particularly unique. Telus Sky, on the other hand, will be an iconic building unlike any other (unless that shorter mirrored version in Vancouver also gets built)

I'll do an update this Friday and we'll see if they've done any crane base work yet.

Very nice design. Not all buildings have to be really tall to have a impact this one will look like a gem when completed.

I'm very curious as to what the glass will look like. There isn't any spandrel, or very little of it, so whatever glass they go with will be a very continuous look, and the less reflective the better.....although a reflective look could make for some cool reflections under certain lighting.

Lets hope the glass looks more like 1 Bloor East and less like EAP.

So true. This one might end up being my second favorite tower in Calgary.

They are going to have to back the Mammoet crane out of the hole. No way he can turn around down there.
