6th and Tenth:
Was told that the developer asks buyers to sign an amendment to the sales and purchase agreement for 2 dates change, one from June 30, 2015 to June 30, 2016 and the other from June 30, 2015 to June 30, 2017.

Wow
Unfortunate, but not surprising. Even if they started construction tomorrow, it would still take at least 2 1/2 years to complete. June 2017 does seem a ways out, but I'm guessing that's the date for when the building is fully occupied and can be handed over to the condo board?

You should review the proposed changes as against the sales agreement and assess whether they are to your detriment. If so, then you may want to negotiate terms upon which you would agree to the amendment to the purchase agreement. The builder cannot force you to sign the amendment agreement.

Don't shock us like that! You have to ease us in to news like this.

Great news! I am going to love seeing this one go up as I like it more than Guardian even though it does not have the height. It just has such great aesthetics, so I hope they don't cheap out on the materials.

Anyone got any pictures of the on-site activity?

Would be great to see this one happen, definitely one of the nicer new condo tower proposals right now. This would more than make up for the (likely) loss of 3 Eau Claire.

I will be going past there in the next day or so. I'll make sure to snap a pic.

Some stuff going on at site. I'm not sure if the action is related to this or not. I'll feel more positive about it when the sales centre comes down.

That was prep work - I believe may have involved some utilities. Real construction should kick in within the next month or so.

Brad Lamb tweeted this on Saturday (May 3)

"Excited to be officially breaking ground May 30th on our first #Calgary dev, #6thandTenth! Last chance to get pre-construction pricing."

Talk is cheap, but I tend to think this date is the real deal. It's very bold to tweet a date for an official ground breaking ceremony.
