Well, just for the sake of curiosity, let's think about this. FMC is supposed to be done in Fall 2016—let's call it November. CITC is supposed to be done first quarter 2018—let's call it February. That means FMC will probably be topped out by the beginning of 2016 at the latest. CITC will probably be topped at the end of 2016 or beginning of 2017. But CITC is also 400 feet taller. My guess is that there will be an 105-day period during which FMC will be 6th tallest. Maybe we can have a contest to guess how long, and whoever wins...gets, to be considered an official Sage of the forum haha.

Right! What we would be betting on is when do we think FMC actually reaches number 6, and when will CITC surpass FMC.

Honestly you would know better than I would and possibly the person who told me that as well haha.

Cool. Moving right along.

Someone should drop the "Site Prep" from the title, though.

Just walked by this on my lunch break. This is an awesome site to see, because of where they are in the process, you can look right down and see machines moving around and doing stuff. It's neat. I've never felt so close to actual construction, haha.

You need to stop by the construction site in the early afternoon. It's bustling with activity at that time.

I wonder why they shut down so early. Is it because they can only do so much work in parallel right now?

Few weeks ago, I saw them working till 6 or 7pm a few times. This week they are all done when I pass by at 5.

They may start early. As an example the site I am currently on is empty by 2:30pm however work begins around 6 - 7am.

Also if a contractor is asked to work late, there is usually a hefty premium.

It's amazing how compact this site is given the amount of equipment and activity it has to hold. At least Evo had this site to use for storage and staging for much of its construction, but the FMC Tower really has nowhere to go for that. Managing the current construction on this site must be like working a giant Rubik's Cube.
