That's the Barclay-Vesey Building, and it's currently Verizon's headquarters.

(And I'd be remiss if I didn't tell you that the squat Art Deco building in the immediate foreground is DC 37's headquarters. Represent!)

That's 101 Barclay Street, a.k.a. Bank of New York Corporate Trust Operations Center, built in 1985 by SOM.

^^ Thanks guys! I thought I had never seen it before, but I guess I have. I didn't notice the stairstep roof in the picture I reposted.

That I don't know. I assume that the building was originally built for some shipping company perhaps, and that structure supported their sign/advertisements. (There's a fair amount of abandoned billboard frames like that in older sections of Brooklyn and Queens too.)

No, it's, that it isn't going to have a restaraunt. There will be an Obs. deck on two different floors. Either that or it will take up the space of two floors.

Love that infographic, but I call BS on the idea that each pool could hold enough water to fill the ESB 50 times. Think about that critically for a moment. Someone got some numbers mixed up somewhere.

Somebody's getting some bad info here, think about it, entire ESB could hold only 9,000 gallons of water (450,000/50)? Think about a gallon of milk you buy at the store, you could stack 9,000 of those in one office in the building, my pool in my backyard holds 25,000!

Also, the statue of liberty weighs only 250 tons (750,000/30)?

Who created this ridiculous graphic?

Yeah, someone screwed up BIG on that one.
A gallon is ~3.785 liters.
A liter is 0.001 cu. m.
The ESB has a volume of ~1.04 million cu. m.
That works out to just under 275,000,000 gallons to fill the ESB. It would take more than 600 times 450,000 to get to that, not 1/50 of 450,000.

Actually, that's accurate. The Statue of Liberty weights 225 tons.

Are they using some kind of heavy duty glass for the outside of WTC 1? The old WTC towers were just steel plus the windows. This one looks to be using glass panels. Does anyone know what they are called. I think they should build another identical tower to WTC 1
