A Bit of Palm Springs, CA/Coachella Valley/Desert X Outdoor Art Exhibition

My partner and I took a day trip to the Palm Springs area yesterday (Sunday, 3.21.2021) to go see the Desert X exhibits. Desert X is a biennial outdoor art exhibit in the Coachella Valley; different artists from around the world participate. It's been going on since 2017, so Desert X 21 is the third exhibit.

The exhibits for the ones held in 2017 and 2019 seemed to be in more remote desert areas; some of this year's exhibits were closer to and within the towns.

Here are some pictures I took of some of the exhibits, interspersed with a few shots of Palm Springs, and a beautiful desert garden.

What Lies Behind the Walls. Artist, Zahrah Alghamdi.

Nice pictures. Some of that abstract art is a little ridiculous, to be honest. I'll never understand it. Your scenery and flora pictures are really nice, though, and to me that is more interesting than that art.

Yes it is. The first time I've ever been to Sunnylands, actually. It's very nice.

Fantastic set. I love going out to the desert once or twice a year. It's great.

Thanks. I love going to the desert too, my partner and I have come to appreciate it more and more the last several years. We hike at Joshua Tree at least twice a year, fall/winter and in the spring, when the ocotillos are in bloom.
