So what do you guys think of the waves on the balconies? Cool or a little cheesy? I go back and forth.

^ The waves are cool & breaks up the monotony of what would have been a 550 foot blue box. Fits in well with the white building in the back.

A 599-foot blue box. The title of the thread is wrong.

^ You are correct since the CTBUH has it listed as 599 ft. | 182.6 m.
I'm starting to wonder what's going on here since you requested the change in height over 13 months ago at post #24.

SLS Brickell Will Probably Top Off Soon, Slightly Later Than Forecast

SLS Brickell Will Probably Top Off Soon, Slightly Later Than Forecast
By TNM Staff on September 9, 2015

SLS Brickell could top off slightly later than estimated, according to a new filing, but representatives of the developer were unsure of an exact date.

The developer, an entity of Related Group, sent notice to the FAA last month that vertical construction would be completed by October 1, 2015, a few weeks after federal approval was set to expire.

In 2014, the FAA approved a tower for the site that is 599-feet above ground. That approval would have expired on September 14, 2015.

SLS Brickell will include 450 residential condo units and 133 hotel rooms. The project is sold out.

dave8721 this post was from you 2 & 1/2 years ago and it would be nice to see a updated pic to see if this render looks anything like reality at ground level today.

Drone Captures SLS Brickell From Above

Miami's explosive growth and towering aspirations are clearly visible in a recent drone flight conducted by TAMZ for The Related Group, a local developer building several new projects in the city's vibrant Brickell neighbourhood.

Looks nice ! I wonder if they are going to put up the big blue "SLS" letters on the roof.

i think the thing that i love most about brickell is that it has become very desirable for professionals to live there. it really takes an enormous amount of pressure off properties they'd otherwise take, and it's certain that whatever office buildings go up in the miami-dade area, they'll surely be going up downtown. with critical mass residing (or wishing to reside) in the neighborhoods along the water, office construction will have to follow. it's great!
