Is the balcony glass on this fritted or frosted?

Seriously, plain old open balcony + railing up to your waist 700-800 ft up is nutso. Aqua in Chicago also in this category. And I just don't trust patio items not to somehow blow off in a big storm. Imagine those items from that high up blowing off.

Other than that, I do like this building, moreso actually than I like the Studio Gang original in Chicago.

Agree about the balconies. I won't go out on a balcony at all if it has glass sides. I use my balcony all the time because it has solid sides and it's usable space. I have carpet out there, a table that seats 4, plants, a trunk, and a lounger. That said, I'm only 14 floors up. When you get past the 25th floor it's just too windy and cold most of the time.

Btw, that condo on the left is Five Condos. Karma is further south.

LOL. These things are too small for patio items. I lived in apartments with or without balconies. It is nice to be able to open a door and stand the doorway. I'd rather the square footage be added to the closets standing in for apartments nowadays.

Why the comparison to Aqua to in Chicago? It's hardly the first with wavy balconies. Balconies in Toronto have been an architectural statement long before Aqua was built. There are dozens of Aqua-esque towers in the city.

Yes, but its the only wavy-balconied tower anywhere close to the same height as Aqua...

Cool From the North-East

This is One Bloor from Mt. Pleasent Road, just a few blocks south of Mt. Pleasent Cemetery. (Middle Building)

Taken just 5 days ago

Was off in an area called Bennington Heights, and just noticed One Bloor poking above the neighbourhood:

Crown construction continues, the balcony glass installation seems to have stalled...
