Today is the first day since the parking lots closed that I've noticed activity on the site. I've seen at least 3 separate work crews out here today. Some engineers were out surveying this morning and now there's a crew that looks like they are dismantling the old parking payment kiosk. This thing about to get moving for real.

The site plan was split into two a while back - F1 for site prep and F2 for the buildings. The F2 site plan for the buildings was filed just this past Wednesday.

The office tower part of this project (Phase II) won't start for a while. Page 36 of the site plan posted to AULCC last week includes this:

can anyone tell what will occupy the west side of the block if the 2nd tower is to be delayed.? Hopefully a park above parking? Seems like they would build parking under the entire complex at the beginning of the project????

I believe there was supposed to be a plaza where the 2nd tower would go before it starts.

Also, the underground parking for both the courthouse and office building are being built in Phase I. Phase II will only be the office building.

I would assume the crane boom for the courthouse could swing over the rest of the block to handle the garage construction on the other half of it.

The drawings posted to this week's AULCC show three tower cranes. I suspect one of them will only be used at a future date for the office building construction. But both buildings are part of the site plan, so they are showing the location of all three cranes.
