If I weren't "getting-on" in years, I think I would like to live in Vancouver... Visited many times (San Juan Islands) as well.

Great photos. It still looks beautiful (like where I live - only more so).

I wonder if say in 15 years when this slender, glass condo look is out of date will the skyline have it's share of ugliness?
Similar to the older high rise residential structures of the 60's and early seventies today?
(think St. Jamestown in Toronto for example).
I wonder.

Glass will always be a timeless material.

You mean to say that commercial buildings made in the 60's and 70's are gorgeous?

Vancouver already has its share of ugliness. Several new condos here were ugly right from the get-go, at least in my opinion. There are nicer looking ones, especially the more recent. Every building is doomed to become "out of date". That's the way it's been since the beginning. As long as people keep coming up with new ideas...

Portland and Seattle are pretty hot in some ways but Vancouver is mind-blowing!

Here's some pics that unfortunately are not mine but I don't own a camera...well unless it's a throw-away. I got these from devianart & pbase.

Gawd I love that city! Can't believe it's been 5.5 years since I was last there. I would love to live there.
