Glad that is confirmedish. Now that I have seen it with my own eyes, I believe it.

Driving northbound on the 110 last night. Its already quite evident how much of an impact this will have on the skyline when completed, tower 2 is already visible from the freeway and looks more massive in person than it does on the webcam.

Going back to the eartcam footage. The second tower seems to be doing a floor jump every 2 weeks..

That are beautiful renderings. I like the new design better than the old one.

Metropolis is my favorite construction project in Downtown. It will change our skyline a big time. The Wilshire Grand and the Figueroa Central Development Project will also bring gigantic changes. I never thought that L.A. would see such a significant upswing (at least not so fast).

Here in L.A., you have a renaissance and there’s more room to grow. We are not a 9-mile by 9-mile city like San Francisco.

I remember reading back before construction started that there would only be 5 cranes for this entire project. seeing how the first phase is already taking 3 and its considerably the smaller phase. I can see 6-7 cranes working away on site since its all starting at once.....Unless the 4th tower really stalls until the first phase is topped out.

There's a special trick you have to use. Click on the image and then immediately right-click and select save.

^^^ Seems like it. foundation work for phase 2 seems to be for both towers and not just one.

Thanks. I was wondering when that was going to happen.

I'm still amazed that we are getting all 4. We have been so disappointed the past 20 years and now it seems like every project we are getting are the best put on the table. I hope in the near future, when someone buys the Salvation army site, that Francisco street is somehow realigned.

A neighboor told me that they will pour the foundation for the third tower first. That has a logistic function. His brother works as a trucker for the Metropolis-Project. The foundation for the last tower will follow soon.

I am not sure about the validity of the information, but we will see it soon.

My info was obtained from someone in charge of retail leasing, so it is kinda sketchy.

I had other informations too. There will be no Phase 2 and 3, like I wrote before. (but they might pour the third tower first)

No evidence of Tower 4 ready to be poured, but they are getting closer on 3, with the obvious core foundation being dug, but no rebar in place yet.
