Views from the South Loop (Kansas City)

These are all pictures I took in the South Loop earlier this afternoon. The South Loop of KC is the area around Power and Light, just south of the Financial District. A lot of these pictures are taken from atop a rooftop park. Makes for some very interesting perspectives.

Hope you enjoy!

Below is the One Light apartment tower construction site. Moving right along!

Nice photos. An interesting view of the One Light construction site.

While I've often preferred the buildings from the early 20th century, that Lipstick building in KC is awesome. Isn't that the H Block HQ Building?

Yep it is the H&R Block HQ. And I like the building too, even in its modest simplicity. I like the color green too .

nice. i find that the early twentieth century commercial buildings in downtown kc possess a distinct refined lightness that somewhat belies their brick and stone construction.

No city I've lived in serves up a glass, concrete, and terra cotta casserole quite like KC. Great photos.
