An old disco song, 270 Park style:

To my surprise, 58 stories high
Workers getting loose y'all, getting down on the foundation
Folks are hammering rebar, out of control
It was so entertaining when the construction started to explode
I heard somebody say
crane inferno!

(Cranes baby burn) Crane that mother UP!
(Cranes baby burn) Crane inferno
(Cranes baby burn) Crane that mother UP!

Satisfaction came in a Park Ave reaction
(Cranin')
I couldn't get enough, so I had to sip some wine
The tower was on, rising to the top!

Hey, I saw that 270 Park Avenue has made it to the diagram! It left the proposed group and joined under construction group! Welcome 270 Park Avenue!

Still thinking of all of the renderings for 175 Park Avenue that have been released, and yet for 270 Park, nothing. We know the design, but have yet to see any official rendering.

Those guys literally build the skyline. It must be amazing to look at it and say, “I built that”.

Yeah, no thanks. One wrong move and your leg is crushed to pieces or you lose all of your fingers from 800,000 lbs of metal squishing you.

Not to mention the long periods of time away from their families that some of these union workers probably have to spend.

SOMEBODY'S gotta do it, though.

270 Park already looks like its ahead of schedule. I bet this one will rise at 1 Vanderbilt levels in which that project had absolutely amazing time table performance. They were literally months ahead of the projected schedule (1 Vandy).

JPMorgan looks to cut office space in Manhattan: Bloomberg News

03 Mar 2021

Quote:
JPMorgan Chase & Co is looking to sublet big blocks of office space in Manhattan, Bloomberg News reported on Tuesday (Mar 2), citing people with knowledge of the matter.

The bank is looking to sublet just under 700,000 square feet at 4 New York Plaza in the Financial District and more than 100,000 square feet at 5 Manhattan West in the Hudson Yards area, the report said.

Due to COVID-19 pandemic-led lockdowns and stay-at-home orders, fewer people have been going to office, which has prompted companies to reassess the need for real estate.

"It is too early to comment on specifics as we continue to learn and adapt to this current situation and how it impacts our commercial real estate needs. We are committed to New York and are planning for the next 50 years with our new headquarters here," a spokesperson for the bank said.

In October, JPMorgan Chief Executive Officer Jamie Dimon said JPMorgan would press ahead with its plans to build a large headquarter in New York that is scheduled to open in 2024.

A dangerous job but great looking work to the construction people.

I like the building design but the base looks too wide from one angle. JMO
