Landing pads for crane loads - note how they are offset from each other.

Glad you guys liked them. I'll be in this building for a few more months so I hope to have future updates.

Which isn't going to matter so much once the south and east towers are built.

Even with the other towers those units at the south end will still have a great view of the south branch, i would not mind at all! ...just not as good eastward.

Fantastic pictures HomrQT!

It was great how you got all three projects in one shot! I've been back home for a month, but headed back to Chicago soon. Can't wait to visit the sites myself and see the progress!

Wow this thing really shot up,

Will the taller towers start before this is finished?

i don't think anyone knows the exact timeline for the other two phases, but i'd say that it looks really unlikely that they will start on either of the other two towers before phase 1 is complete.

^ Yeah I'm guessing just by the material / equipment staging they have no intention of starting the next two towers until the first in finished.

Thats awesome how it will hide the Suntimes wording on the Apparel center, and the building in general from that angle. Two more buildings to go will help even more from other angles.

building is going to look great but is anyone else thinking this is sort of an odd and isolated place to live?

You see the views from the South and west, where the river allows us good photos. The area just to the North and East is very densely built up. The uber-trendy River North clubs are 2-4 blocks away.

With trendy restaurants and bars around the corner too. It does look a little isolated by itself but yeah the area is built up. Plus, even if one of the other wolf point towers are built, it won't look like that. The poster before needs to realize that this is the first of three towers to be (hopefully) built there.

Got a point though. The big faceless buildings and long bridges you have to pass to get to Wolf Point make it feel sorta isolated.

I really hope the Apparel Mart managers kick out the Art Institutes and get some bonafide retail tenants facing Orleans. All that smoked glass is depressing.
