5th and Third podium only, but two towers in the future.

Whenever I'm looking to find out what project is under construction at a given location, I use this handy map thingy at SRC -About halfway down the page.

I spend most of time at that site now, but haven't seen that before. Nice find!

Well look at that! That’s handy! Thanks! I’m not on SRC but it seems way more current than here in terms of general construction!

Yeah, for construction\development it blows this site away, the difference between the two sites is embarrassing. This is the link to the forum threads where the buildings\projects are https://calgary.skyrisecities.com/forum/ If you're looking for construction updates that's the place to go.

This site still has some good discussion in other threads like the Airport and Green Line thread, the municipal politics thread gets going sometimes.

The only reason I come here is for the entertainment factor. You can beat it. With guys like Daeon, Suburbia, Fat Loser, and suburgatory it's the best dinner theater in town

Agreed. It's way more current, and the discussion is sensible. Maybe not be as entertaining as this site, but way more informative. Kind of like comparing Nation Inquirer to National Geographic.

lol, the bickering can get pretty entertaining. but I would say, corndogger and suburbia's constant fighting is the most entertaining. Suburgatotory's sarcastic wit is the other great form of entertainment.

New Holiday Inn recently completed near Deerfoot Meadows.

New office build out near Deerfoot Meadows. Nothing special, but I like the windows. Very cool.

PCL is currently working on the cantilevered portion of the cancer centre's east side. You can't see it on one of the webcams and the second webcam is basically head-on, so it is hard to visualize. The amount it sticks out is very substantial - more than I had imagined. That portion in the renderings is at about 30% of the height, so the scale of the full building can now be more easily comprehended. It's a monster!

On a related note, they've also started working on the walkway that will connect the cancer centre to the foothills hospital. When I passed by recently it looked like the east entrance of the med school was closed because of the construction.

Too bad it's not going to be taller. Are we going to end up with a bunch of ~450' foot condo towers?

I promise I'm not saying this to be contrarian, but I have the opposite opinion. We have lots of towers, so I'd be more excited with 10 low rises than than 2 towers. There's a ton of inner city land which needs to be bulked up.
