Ric Flair has had a decent revival lately thanks to a song by Offset and Metro Boomin. He was featured in the video IIRC.

I saw a video recently of him taking part in a wedding ceremony. He came down the aisle to Ric Flair Drip.

Many football fans read this forum when the stadium was being discussed and built.

Go REDBLACKS!

Yes! We forget all the negativity surrounding the project and the proposed team.

I am a long-time season ticket holder.

I will be at the game on Sunday.

Go Redblacks! to the Grey Cup

Not in the least. This is how rivalries grow. I hope the weather allows for an exciting game.

Their fans are insufferable though with that terrible chant!

Agree it's nice to have a rivalry with someone other than TO or MTL.

I just watched part of the 1965 Eastern Final between Ottawa and Hamilton on You Tube in Hamilton. You should have heard the Oskee-Wee-Wee chant back then. It was a hoot watching Ray Boucher (later CJOH sports director) as head referee and the way he called penalties. Cool to see the stars from the past.

I was there all day, getting ready, and then preparing to shovel snow that never came. When the few flakes started to fall, we actually started gassing up the leaf blowers, but it wasn't necessary in the end.

So this means we have a grey cup rematch with Calgary, right?

That's right. We were huge underdogs two years ago but this year seems like a more even match up with Calgary as slight favorites. Should be a great game.

Dusting off this thread since the new CFL season is about to start.
Anyone going to the home opener June 15th? (I am!)

Any thoughts on the team's prospects this season?

In case a reminder is necessary - the team's last 2 home wins were on the following dates:
Sept 28, 2021
June 20, 2019

Yep, I'll be there. Since I missed the 2021 victory, the last win I saw was in 2019.

Not thinking that there is a lot of prospect for huge improvements this year. The QB position has stabilized and they have signed a few decent free agents, but it will take some doing for this team to become a real contender. That said, it's the CFL, so surprises do happen, which is what makes it fun.
