Always been a Jays fan because of nationalism even when they sucked several years ago. The bandwagon effect these past couple years is great and my own interest is far more intense, but it's a great ride. GO JAYS!

Yes, Russell Martin helps. The games in Montreal help. Their recent success helps.

Growing up in Nova Scotia, MLB was widely followed. Loyalty was split between the Red Sox, Expos, and Jays. With the demise of the Expos, people gravitated to the Jays with the Sox a distant 2nd.

On a trip out West last August/September, Jays fever was palpable. The Blue Jays can claim to be Canada's team imo. That said, I would like to see MLB in both Montreal and Vancouver within the next 10-15 years.

On a side note, with 48,000 in attendance at Skydome today the Jays have surely moved passed the San Francisco Giants to register the 3rd highest average attendance in MLB behind the LA Dodgers and St. Louis Cardinals.

I was at the game last night. Fenway is hands down the mist fun place to watch baseball. We still need a win tonight, a loss would still hive Detroit a chance to tie with us.

Given the weather conditions last night, I'm going to assume that was not a typo

Can't beat a game at Fenway and the after party. Best experience was a birthday party on a rooftop overlooking Wrigley Field.

That's so typically Jays...just knew they'd make a last game comeback, just too bad it wasn't at the Rogers Center!

Good on the Jays to grab the top Wild Card spot. Looking forward to the game Tuesday night.

That said, this Wild Card format is BS. The original Wild Card rewarded the best non-division winning team (who, theoretically could be the 2nd best team in the league) with a playoff berth in a series against a division winner.

Now, MLB adds another Wild Card team and rewards both of these division runners-up with a...single game? This makes it worse for the 1st Wild Card finisher than it used to be and is barely a reward for the 2nd WC finisher.

The Wild Card should be a 3-game series, which is more in line with how the baseball schedule works. All season long, teams play (usually) 3 game sets against each other. They could have both WC series play on the Mon,Tues, Wed immediately after the season ends and still start the playoffs on the Thursday.

I thought that way last playoffs. Now, I actually like the one game set-up. It's a bonus for the top two runners up. There should be some additional risk and consequences. Makes teams push just a little harder for that divisional title than to sit back like they do in other leagues.

There were teams with a hundred wins that didn't make the playoffs in the past.

I can't believe someone threw a beer at the O's outfielder again. Toronto fans already have a terrible reputation after last year, not to mention the other time a drink was thrown at a different Baltimore fielder a few years ago..

Bad apples everywhere but this seems to happen way more frequently in Toronto unfortunately.

Sorry didn't fans in Winnipeg pour beer on some poor kid for wearing the wrong color hoodie to a game? Toronto fans are great just drunk idiot out of 48,000 fans doesn't know how to act in public. As for last year in the seventh inning that situation would have happened at just about any stadium. Again grown men and women pouring beer on a little kid, that's about as classless as you can get

LOL you're defensive I see. I agree that was a classless move by the Bombers fans who did that and it definitely tarnishes Wpg fans reputation.

But back to baseball.. If you can name ANOTHER MLB city where fans have thrown garbage at players on the field 3 times in the past 3 years, please let me know.
