As an office building I quite like this one. I would like it even more if it were around 3x the height. That would certainly help with the expansion east of the CBD skyline. I imagine it's only a matter of time before buildings at least in the 600-700ft range are proposed and built in this particular locale.

ChesterCopperpot broke the news that the GLOBE AND MAIL has signed as a lead tenant for this development.

"Big announcement - in Fall 2016, 351 King Street East is going to be the new home of the Globe and Mail - to be called the Globe and Mail Centre"

Globe and Mail Centre Nears Final Height in Toronto

Quote:
The tower has made significant progress since rising above grade back in April. Just over seven months since reaching that milestone, the building is now closing in on its final height. The 17th and final office level is now in the process of being formed, and work will soon begin on the building's two-storey mechanical penthouse level above.

For an office, I'm loving the design, with little boxes jutting out on the sides to add some depth. Also, In an area like King East, it'll be a welcome development to begin a push for proposals east of yonge.
