If -and I insist on if- these two towers are built, this with the addition of the Waldorf=Astoria will drastically increase the density of the west end of downtown.

I don't quite like the design, its too Dubai-ish. That being said the rendering isn't very good so I am keeping optimistic. And its a hell of a lot better than the previous proposal on that lot, which consisted of two stubby 14 storey suburban brick buildings.

Montreal already has several skyscrapers that are really unique and different from the standard so in that respect they'll fit right in

That project wasn't really serious anyways.

Too bad, because that would have been at the corner of GUY and R-L, an important intersection whose four corners are huge parkinglot, two uninspired midrises and a private yard.

Dinu Bimbaru strikes again? If Montreal's cancelled projects were all built, the skyline would rival manhattan (OK, maybe not, but give Taranna a run for its money)

Le projet a été approuvé par la ville et s'appellera Les Jardins de Babylone, 2 tours, 26 et 40 étages. J'ai vu les premiers rendu dans le cahier maison de La Presse à paraître dans 2 semaines mais je n'ai pas pu prendre de photo car je n'avais pas mon téléphone, désolé les boys ! C'est très prometteur, très clean, très chic, très vitré surtout ! Méchante amélioration du coin de rue qui fait pitié ces temps ci. Plus de détails dans le cahier La Presse dans 2 semaines.

Quand je me suis présenté au bureau des ventes du Victoire, j'ai croisé la journaliste de La Presse Danielle Bonneau qui préparait un article sur le Victoire avec un vendeur. Lorsqu'elle a vu que je semblais connaître tous les projets en cours a Montréal, elle m'a montré la cahier à paraître :-))))
