I agree that this design is much better, although I don't mind the design of 1919 Market either, but you have to remember that 1: land in University City does not have the taxes that land in Center City has because most of the land is owned by nonprofits who do not pay taxes, therefore it is not as expensive to build. 2: While they are both 28 floors high, this tower will top out around 320 feet while the 1919 Market tower will rise over 350 feet. So we're getting more height with the 1919 tower.

This seems to be the final design:

The tower is now 28 floors which means it will rise 320 feet.

That means this will be the third tallest building in University City after Cira Centre and the Grove (assuming the Grove development is sticking to the 33 floor plan).

Is it just me or does that final rendering look a lot like Morgan Hall at Temple?

Does anyone know the orientation of the streets in that rendering? I assume Market Street is left-right. Is that correct?

Jersey barriers and construction fencing are up. Backhoe on site and the surface parking lot has been dug up. Dirt has been moved around.

Outside of the Cira Centers, at this height and orientation this building will have the biggest impact on the emerging Ucity skyline IMO. Thanks for the update Summer, I'm really looking forward to this one.

You can see the site for 3601 just beyond the Lancaster Square construction.

This work will probably be stalled for a bit of time. With a foot of snow coming and temps struggling to reach 20 the ground is going to be rock.
