Doesn't anyone know how many total bldgs over 20 stories have been built since 2010; are under construction or proposed in DT Seattle? I am thinking a total of either 22 or 42....... am I remembering wrong?

This is based on staring at an aerial photo for 10 minutes and vagely recalling how many floors certain projects are. It's probably in error by a couple.

56 total.

Seattle easily has to be the busiest town aside from NYC in the nation, as far as taller towers goes. Wow, makes SF look sleepy.

That's right. Over a 100 projects just in the DT area with over 50 built, under construction or proposed for 20 stories or more. Then again, SF has some good looking bldgs going up.

Two more Towers under Construction this past Week

Equity Residential officials on Tuesday said they're starting construction of a 40-story luxury apartment tower in downtown Seattle at 204 Pine St.

The missing link between Pike Place Market and downtown Seattle's retail core finally is getting filled in now that construction has started on a 39-story mixed-use apartment tower called 2nd & Pike.

Second & Pine has been going for several months. Second & Pike is just starting (site prep & utilities underway).

The other site prep project I was talking about was Hedreen's 1,264-room hotel.

Good. Then they should change their name to "Urban Finally Realized a Goddamned Project".

Hopefully this bodes well for a certain other Urban Visions project.

Miami has a ton of highrise construction but much of it is car-oriented, with huge parking podiums, port cocheres, etc. Houston might be the top for construction overall, but again it's car oriented and not very urban. Both cities are half again our size.

If we're talking DTs......DT Seattle vs DT Houston excluding Post Oak: No. I think the Seattle boom is bigger.

With Miami, if you include the length of Brickell Ave, south of the Miami River which is not really DT Miami, then maybe the Miami boom is bigger.

Oh, I was not just including the downtowns. I also realize that Seattle's dt is more urban than Houston and Miami.
