Wow. Is there demand for all this new office space or it being built on spec?

Thanks! Guangzhou/Canton is the third largest city in China following Beijing and Shanghai. Guangzhou/Canton is only ~2-hour drive from HongKong.

The skyscrapers in the photos are located in the CBD of Guangzhou - Pearl River New City. In this CBD, over 10 buildings are 300m+; IFC (International Finance Center) is 440m+, with the global highest Four Seasons Hotel located in this building; and the Chou Tai Fook Tower, which is under construction, is 500m+. Right on the opposite over the pearl river, the 600m+ Canton Tower is over there. Would love to share with you guys more photos about my home city.

Yes, ~90% spaces of these new buildings were already let to well-known tenants including Fortune 500 companies and China's local big companies. Also, quite some super tall buildings were actually owned by local State-owned Enterprise, which would occupy the new buildings from old ones.

Also, in Guangzhou CBD, you could find most luxurious hotels such as Four Seasons (Global Flagship Hotel for FS), Ritz Carlton, W Hotel, Rosewood (under construction in the tallest building), Grand Hyatt, Conrad, Mandarin Oriental and etc.

These are great photos gotuck! I'm planning on visiting Guangzhou for a few days in October. Hopefully the 72 hour visa free transit applies to my itinerary.

Welcome! 72hrs are more than enough to take a close look at Guangzhou! Do remember to try the ferris wheel on top of Canton Tower at night!

Here are how it looks like and views in it.

Also, the big hit Transformer: Age of Extinction was filmed in Guangzhou as well. When you watch the movie, you will notice Canton Tower and Guangzhou IFC as city settings.
