The photos show such a great contrast of modernity, squalor and exotica. Nice!

But did I feel confortable? that's a different question!! While walking through those neighbourhoods the hassle is mostly the high level of attention. Nearly everyone you pass will stop doing what they are doing to stare at you and wonder what the heck is happening! Most of them though are super friendly and always greet you with a "Hello Mister"! Anyone who wants to experience what's it must be like to be famous should go there!
awesome, that's great to hear.

Wow, great pics! The subject is very interesting, but you're also super talented.

From that traffic jam picture it seems that the pale blue Toyota Yaris sedan is to the Jakarta of 2015 what green and white VW Bugs were to Mexico City in the '90s and yellow Chevy Caprice/Impala sedans to NYC in the '80s...

Is it just me or we don't see this kind of one model domination of the streets any more? Or at least nearly as much...

It was exactly the same thing in Shenzhen and Guangzhou during my recent China trip!

Wow Ax... Une superbe série.
Ces bateaux de bois sont gigantesques.

J'aurais le goût de commenter chaque photo.
Tu viens de me faire découvrir une facette de la vraie Indonésie urbaine.
