Great scenes! Looks like the perfect place for a walk and to view the city & harbor.

I'm visiting Halifax in May '12 to run the Scotiabank Bluenose Marathon...it looks like a fun city and interesting destination marathon. I'm assuming most people fly from Toronto (as opposed to driving or Via Rail)? Where do you suggest going to get the best skyline shots of downtown Halifax?

I would say that anywhere along the opposite shore of the harbour (Dartmouth/Woodside) would be good places, there is also a good looking angle from the Macdonald bridge .

There is two ferries that you can take to both parts of the other shore with a walkway between them which is where i took these pictures .

Most visitors like the view from Citidel hill as well .

Anywhere up there in the maritime provinces is good for me, never breathed fresher air or swam in cleaner waters. It's like having a chunk of Iceland you can drive to.

I enjoy every Halifax thread that comes on SSP. Would love to visit one day (maybe even live).
