Great picture Tom! I noticed that you recorded a light source low on the horizon deep in twilight. I was hoping that you may have caught Comet McNaught, but instead I think it's probably a plane headed into Midway. The brightening comet is positioned more towards the West. I'd loved to have a picture of a bright comet over the Chicago skyline in twilight.
By the end of this week, there is a possibility that the comet may become temporarily brighter than Venus and be visible in broad daylight. Here's a link to a picture from January 6. By this Friday, it may become 100 time brighter (5 magnitudes) than when the picture was taken,
if it lives up to it's billing. We'll see.
