For some reason you intrigue me Mentallect - in a good and bad way and that is OK. You totally don't have to answer these question but I am dying to know:
- Are you a minority?
- Are you a millennial?
- Have you lived/live in Atlanta and how long?
- Have you lived/live in the DC Metro and how long?
- Without being specific, do you work in tech? Is it a large or small tech company?
Listen I am a Liberal (which at the root definition means EDUCATED so I wear it as a badge of honor), but I do come from a long Dynasty of White Trailer Trash. So I will be the last person to say racism doesn't exist today because I see it in my own ignorant family members. With that said, I will double down on my earlier statement - Tech companies in 2018 "generally" do not have have racist hiring practices so long as you are qualified with the appropriate experience, degree(s) and/or certification(s). Currently there are almost 1.5 million unfilled tech opening in the US so "the market" has leveled the playing field at least for now.
Here I go breaking the rules - O fuck it - it's open mike day - talk about what you want!
