Entrance to Parliament's new visitors centre, tucked-in under the retaining wall. Furhter expansion is ongoing.

Beauty! I've been excited for this since I first saw the renderings. It looks like it's been there the whole time.

It's interesting to see the different approaches Ottawa and Quebec have taken. Quebec's Assembly visitors centre is a strikingly modern compared to Ottawa's low-key entrance.

New rental tower in Centretown. Not a masterpiece, but very good execution from Claridge compared to other recent projects. Nice back of skyline filler.

The brick and corner windows are nice touches. Good filler minus those 5 incongruously placed curved balconies in the centre.

A really under appreciated structure!

Still a good looking building. Interesting that they have not done a major retrofit. Noticed they still have some pneumatic controls.

The NAC's Kipnes, part of a 2017 addition. I've posted it before, but it never ceases to amaze me how this one project has such an impact at one of Ottawa's most prominent intersections. I was afraid the lantern's LEDs would burn out and start looking bad in the medium term, possibly even be shut off completely, but it's holding up quite well and offers a nice beacon on Elgin and down Queen. They've really been taking full advantage of the feature. Such beautiful and crisp images.

The Orleans Health Hub officially opened today. A partnership between several medical institutions in Ottawa, including the Bruyère Hospital (long-term, complex care, out-patient care), the Montfort Hospital (Francophone primary care) and the Children's Hospital of Eastern Ontatrio, the Health Hub encompasses many out patient services you would find in a hospital. The first of its kind in Ottawa, it could become a model for future such facilities in the City's outer-Greenbelt suburban communities such as Kanata and Barrhaven.

Agora, in Gatineau's Plateau District (between Hull and Aylmer), a mixed-use community with ground floor retail, mostly or all local. Large City park and library across the street. Would love to see something like this in Ottawa.

Form Condos. Covered in spandrel, and it's street presence is too monolithic to be good, but its cantilevered massing and fins give it some interesting texture at least - especially when lit up:
