That is starting to look mighty fine. Now we just need to fill all those empty lots up.

Watching this tower go up, I've had an eye on that line of alleys and parking lot that runs between the MTS centre and Fort Street. I remember it having a lot of pedestrian traffic on game nights--lots of people going back to their cars parked on Graham, but also to the Pint and other bars on Garry.

It would be cool if the city activated the space as the lots down Graham fill in. They could start by turning the skinny lot next to the church into a food truck plaza. The rumoured new tower on the Regis site could address it in some way. These are some of the longest blocks downtown; it would improve the pedestrian experience to break them up. The blocks north of this lane feature some nice and dense, granular city too, not to blighted by parking lots. It could help connect the area to the Exchange.

That would be great. I have always hoped whenever the giant lot on Bannatyne/McDermot off Waterfront gets developed, the city would reserve a ROW through it to extend John Hirsch through to McDermot. And really, it would continue right through the lane between Grain Exchange and that awful parkade to Lombard. And... Lombard should be a woonerf.

There is a serious residential project under wraps.. a 46 - 50 floor residential (approx 535 - 600 feet) for the former Regis site/Smith street where Skycity never went forward. Shady company... and was never gonna happen. Hopefully this one is a go.

I hope that is a go too. Hopefully we hear something about this, and not just a rumour.

I think you mean feet. 600 metres would be taller than all other buildings in the western hemisphere... but yes, would definitely be quite tall even at 600 feet.

That back lane was a toilet. Piss everywhere during intermissions. Afternoon games in the light, it would be yellow ice allover lol disgusting.

It's funny, because I actually haven't been in that thread for a while, or at least active in it for quite some time.

I'll take a peak in there. Thanks though!

I didn’t say it would. I just said it would be one of the taller buildings. At that height, those buildings are not abundant in western Canada

I know you have a cabin up in that area Mr. Adrian. Can you take a pic, or do you have one in your archives? I'd like to see it!
