I like the way the glazing looks in the sun.

Definitely more interesting than I expected for glazing.

Impressive cladding. Neutral comment: this is a type of design one would find in Toronto (or any other older city) rather than in Calgary.

I'm not sure about it yet. I'll reserve my judgement until I see how it looks when multiple floors are clad on the tower section. Looks cool so far though. The curtain wall is excellent though, very little warp in the glass which is a big thumbs up from me!

I think this level of design and quality of cladding is fairly common in Calgary. Though I agree it is quite uncharacteristic of cities our size and age.

It has nothing to do with the quality of the design or the cladding. What I meant is that it's a simple box. New York, Toronto and most of the north east are full of boxes. Buildings in newer cities out west and in the south tend to have a less subtle shape and form. Heck, check out Calgary tallest towers, none is a boxe.

I don't think it looks beastly at all. The renders made it look like it was going to be this big mammoth block of a building, but it's turned out to be the opposite. It's already starting to take on a slender look, and there are still 7 more floors to go yet.

Agree. I don't see it as a beastly looking tower. Not slender looking, but not overly wide.

At this point, can't say I'm a big fan. The glass itself is awesome with little/no warps. I just hate the combination and pattern of it so far. It'll be decent filler though and will probably look good coming over the river on the C-Train bridge and Louise Bridge.
