I'm currently listening to a town hall-type discussion with my nearby congressman Brian Mast (representing Martin County). From what I'm hearing, this may not be able to pass through the Treasure Coast. Too many at-grade crossings and many accidents have been happening.

Finishing Touches At Brightline’s MiamiCentral Terminal

By TNM Staff on February 22, 2018

A portion of the MiamiCentral Brightline terminal appears to be near completion (photos taken 2/21):

The MiamiCentral construction site is massive, covering multiple city blocks.

Wow! Looking good! The power is on. Just about time! Let make it happen. When they will extend the Brightline to Downtown Miami?

Brightline Negotiating To Operate Northeast Corridor Instead Of Tri-Rail

Quote:
You might soon be able to take a Brighline train from downtown Miami to Midtown, the Design District, or Aventura.

Miami-Dade County is now in discussions with Brightline to operate the Northeast Corridor rail line service, according to Javier Betancourt, Executive Director for the Citizens’s Independent Transportation Trust, in an interview with Miami Today. Brightline’s parent company owns the tracks.
