Approval recommended to Council for height increases of One Yonge:

https://www.toronto.ca/legdocs/mmis/...ile-240447.pdf

This brings the current phase up to 344m / 1,131ft, and the second phase up to 306m / 1,004ft.

It would also make it the tallest approved building in Toronto.

SkyTower got a bonus height increase of .32 metres too!

Pinnacle One Yonge | 344.9m | 105s | Pinnacle | Hariri Pontarini l u/c

So 2 super-talls on the block.... and a 100 storey+ tower for Canada.

SkyTower @ 344.9 metres (105 storeys)

Phase 3 @ 306.8 metres (92 storeys)[/B]

SkyTower and Phase 3 will dwarf CIBC Square 1.

UT

SkyTower and Phase 3 in the centre, with the 3 towers of Sugar Wharf Phase 2 (site demo/heritage retention) just to the right.

Was it actually approved at 105 stories (345 meters)? Is it definite it will be that high?

That's awesome if so, huge news. But last I heard it was just speculation / they were awaiting approval.

City Staff are recommending it be approved - we technically have to wait a few more days for council to actually vote to approve it, but with a positive staff report it’s highly unlikely it won’t be approved.

Thanks,

If it is approved will they definitely go for it? I'm assuming the only reason they wouldn't is for financial reasons / lack of demand. But that is a legit reason.

I don't see why the developer won't build it like that given that they are the ones asking for the height increase - they clearly intend to use it.

I figured but was just making sure.

Wasn't sure if it was just potential / an envelope for them while they timed the market and potentially added fewer if the demand wasn't there.

Costs have risen since the tower sold. The additional floors may be a necessity.

Hmm. Does the revision still include the hotel?

Classy, glassy curves on the podium. Nice to know there’s no cheap-out on the curtain-wall promise.

Looking down Yonge.

Great curtainwall shots of SkyTower from @skycandy (Phase 1 is behind).

Still prepping the massive transfer slab for a mega-concrete pour on the 12th level soon... yet the crane is just visible right of centre (Phase 1 @ 65 storeys is to the right of the crane).

skycandy

Somewhat similar angle to @skycandy's shot above, shows SkyTower towering 40 storeys higher than Phase 1.

A ton of work (and a sea of tension bars and rebar) prepping this mega-transfer slab… now getting a mega-concrete pour.

Good news for super-tall fans, the height increases for SkyTower (u/c now @ 345 metres) and Phase 3 (now a super-tall @ 306.8 metres/92 storeys) ... were approved yesterday at City Council.

2 super-talls side by side would certainly be skyline changers ;-).

Pinnacle One Yonge | 344.9m | 105s | Pinnacle | Hariri Pontarini l u/c

SkyTower and Phase 3 super-talls in the centre of the rendering below.
