Nice. Core is moving along. Wonder if it will stop concrete pours in the wintertime due to the ability to cure without cracking as a result of the frigid cold.

They generally don't stop pours during most of the winter--they just frost-protect the poured concrete.

From what I'll been told----since curing concrete creates heat as a chemical reaction to the ingredients there's more problems with placing concrete in hot weather then cold weather, at least until it gets down below zero. On slab work they'll lay blankets over the concrete to keep the heat in.

The taller tower at 363ft is only 21ft shorter than the PECO Building, it will have a nice impact on skyline -- especially here:

It's for the northern tower, which is 315ft. The taller one will be to the south between Arch and the Regional Rail lines.

Both heights are fine. Being in front of the river, the buildings will not be obstructed by any other buildings looking west to east, so they are going to be high profile builds for many to see.

Are you sure about that? In the Building Philly photo that you posted here (and also when I've caught a quick look from the Schuylkill Expressway), it sure looks like it's for the tower that's closest to the Regional Rail lines:



But I now see in diavolo's photos in post #587 that maybe it's not.

^Yup, so Arch Street is basically the dividing line of the towers. The north tower is Tower E. Here's the CDR for further reference:

That's what I was looking at. His pics show it north of Arch.
This tower is on the southern side of the northern pedistal with all the parking. IE all the posts they have been pouring.

Yeah, that makes sense. Building Philly's photo just makes it look closer to the tracks than it actually is (at least to me).

i was at 30th street station yesterday and these towers are going to have a huge impact visually from there. excited to see these continue to rise.
