These looks quite interesting. A good departure from the Toronto box norm.

Easton's Group of Companies (http://www.eastonsgroup.com) pays over $70 million for 355 King Street West, will they bring a W Hotel to Toronto?
According to an update by Urbanation, Remington will be a partner in this development.

As we reported on Dec 1, Easton Group purchased 355 King - Remington to partner, bringing residential experience.

These guys look a little bit low end to be dealing with W Hotels. - Also slight saturation of the Hotel Market at the high end in Toronto by the time Shangrila comes online.

I'm thinking another Hilton or Marriott possibly. And of course there is the lot across the street (Shoppers Drug Mart) which looks destined to become a major condo/office block as well.

The new design is pathetic. The facadectomy of the Westinghouse is tragic enough, but this looks awfully bland and generic. One of the worst designs that I've seen in the pipeline in a while. This primitive design is something I would have expected 10 years ago in this construction boom.

I like the symmetry of these, and the dark blue hue will be something different.

I hate this development and how it demolishes part of restaurant row.

Doesn't touch restaurant row, only the parking lot beside it. I too hate it, partially for the facectomie of the Westinghouse building, partially because of the spandrel towers. I do enjoy the architecture of the base though.

This is the first big development that I know of downtown backed by Indo-Canadians...

The biggest to date that I remember might be Chaz Yorkville Condos
