It looks like "other race" mostly means "indigenous." I wonder why they didn't separate Native Americans, &c. out into their own category given that they're a huge presence in certain parts of the country.

Technically speaking, the Census counts Native American, Alaskan Native, and Native Hawaiian as different "races." Thus lumping them together would be inaccurate, and would possibly offend some people.
