What do u mean by vertical power center? I read that as new retail tenants moving into a rehabbed building. I might have misinterpreted it though.

^Ok not a "power center" just standard big box development stretched vertically. Always get mixed up with the terms LOL.

Better than big vacant building that's for sure, but they really should have removed that ugly sloped facade....

Not exactly a proposal, but I wasn't sure where else to post it. Seemed right for this thread. This looks absolutely amazing!

Glad they are doing something with it. My mom and Grandmother both worked at the Clovers in the mid-80's, when the area as a whole was much different.

Favorite memory was going to the resturant in the basement and getting some of the great veggie soup they had. Its ashame what the area has become. Use to love playing up at Max-Myers back in the day.

They closed the Hotel... then nothing. Developer claimed April or May groundbreaking... as you can see that hasn't happened. Not sure what's going on.

^^Technically qualifies for it's own thread but since AQ Rittenhouse was moved here at 12 floors and 151 feet, we'll just post updates on this one in here.

It's a construction ritual called "topping out" (or "topping off"):

Not much of a fan of the color of the brick they are using. This thing may stick out like a gray elephant...

I can see why dark grey brick isn't popular with everybody, but I'm very optimistic that the Study will turn out beautifully. I believe that DIGSAU used a very similar material on the campus bookstore at UDel a few years ago.

Plus, I think the Study will be a great complement to the Papadakis Science Building, Chestnut Square, and Penn's new Hill Field house. LA would be so lucky if we could get such a nicely-designed building around downtown.

All of Drexel's new buildings have an ivory/charcoal theme. This will fit in beautifully with the newer developments.
