I don't know if I'd ever be brave enough to dismantle my complete collection of the modular buildings! They're worth too much if you ask me.

It hurts, but I have to. We are moving from San Diego to Seattle in January. I tried leaving them together for a previous move and they get partiallly broken up. That ends up being more work repairing than completely rebuilding. Im hoping at some point to stop moving. Now that my Navy days are almost done, that should help a lot. I need a 30'x3' shelf for everything we have. maybe 4' for the 9V railroad too... i need more track. though. I only have about 25' worth.

I don't have any LEGO train stuff except one of the Santa Fe engines that I bought used for a relaly good deal. It's just the set and doesn't have the motor pack.

I have the old freight train, but it was ugly so I converted the Harry Potter train to be 9V

Figured I'd let you guys in on this one during the design stages

This is a study model of Chase Tower, Chicago that I've been working on for a little over a month. I'd venture to say that this is tied with my John Hancock Center model for most difficult Chicago model!

The new modular comes on in January and is a French Restaurant. Lots of detail.

Detroit Guardian Building LEGO Model

Months ago I started construction of a mini-fig scale model of Detroit's 40 story art deco Guardian Building. The base is about 1 x 4 feet (.3 x 1.2 meters) and the height will be about 8 feet (2.45 meters). I have recently reached a point where hopefully the base of the building is recognizable to those who are familiar with the building (and if you are not, google it!)

That seems like a perfect project for Kickstarter.
