The comedy is that they don't need public opinion. They can do this whenever they want.

I do think they need Squilla to sign off on striking part of Filbert from the city grid.

Yes. Totally. Honestly though, I think that while the design of the filbert street part is cool, They could probably do something cool there without removing Filbert from the street grid.
