You're very welcome! I'm glad others appreciate my hobby. (Of course, posting images of skyscrapers on a skyscraper site is pretty much guaranteed to generate positive feedback, but I am not opposed to negative feedback too. If anyone can point out any errors or problems, please do. I want my Toronto model to be as accurate as possible.)
Lots more to come... more towers, more detail, and more screenshots!

Koops, do you have a close up of just the entertainment district (spadina to Simcoe or thereabouts)?

I updated my rendering for just about everything Proposed, Approved, and Under Construction/Site Prep in downtown Hamilton...

My Photo

My Photo

I added three proposals, and switched one building from Approved to Under Construction.

Good job thomax, great to see where these towers will be located... I hope they get built sooner rather than later... I can't wait to see a "new" Hamilton skyline!

Great work Koops.
I know they're essentially dead proposals, but imagine how awesome that area would be like if the Oxford Twins were in there too.

Something is off with 19 Duncan. There's not that large a gap between it and 219.

When all that gets built Hamilton will probaby be up to about where Yonge and Eglinton is today. Then just a couple >200m and a bit more infill to start matching it.

You're totally right. After searching tons of images, it seems I must have made the old warehouse at the base of 19 Duncan too small, because 19 Duncan actually extends farther East, as far as Theatre Park in the renders. And, I thought 217 Adelaide was being built on top of one of those old warehouses too, but in fact it's going where that parking lot is now, farther West than I placed it. That means 19 Duncan and 217 Adelaide will be literally right beside each other... I'll fix that before I take any more screenshots.

Entertainment District is gonna be poppin' in a few years when these projects are completed.

The area is already insane...but still.

A few new screenshots showing some of the more recent changes:

Looking at the CBD, with 100 Simcoe just to the right of Shangri-La.

[IMG][/IMG]

Looking NE, with 391 Yonge gone from the Yonge/Gerrard intersection.

[IMG][/IMG]

And an overall view of downtown, looking SW.

Birds eye view looking Northeast:

A bit more dramatic this time, looking North on a misty morning:

Enjoy!

For North America, if all this gets built, we will have certainly gained some ground on Chicago. In a way this is massive all the way from the Lake to Eglinton is the same as Manhattan Battery Park all the way to Harlem - past Manhattan to the Bronx. The skyline is not only going North/South but also stretching East/West. All it needs really is some more bulk in the Portlands and north of the Entertainment District.

Lake-Core is definitely the new big thing. You can see it will make Southcore look puny when/if it is construed.

I think by the time skyscrapers fill the area uninterrupted from the lake to Eglinton, Toronto will have far surpassed Chicago in both skyline size and number of skyscrapers, of all height categories.
