hkskyline's 2019 in Malang, Indonesia

Malang is a good day trip to escape from Surabaya's hustle and bustle as well as to explore the Bromo region. Getting here is easy enough by train, which generally stick to the schedule. Some tourists visiting East Java actually ditch Surabaya and base themselves here instead.

Kampung Tridi is a colourful village that lines the slopes with a river running through. After paying a modest admission, you are free to explore the colourful walls, murals, and many photogenic spots around the village.

very colorful and fun to see — its the indonesian version of the caminito houses in la boca neighborhood in bs as, or valparaiso in chile.

Pasar Besar is a dark and uninviting market but offers a uniquely local shopping experience, from Muslim headscarves to shrimp crackers.

Reminds me of all those old Nokia phones that went extinct put on sale for cheap as hand-me-downs in Sri Lanka.
