There's also way too many Mid Westerners and Easterners that move to the desert and bring their old landscaping....grass lawns, maple and other non-native trees and lots of flowers then they act surprised that they have allergies in the desert.

Yeah, I think the City of Phoenix and/or Maricopa County even outright banned the planting of olive trees for that reason.

Nothing like politicians to end a discussion.

So I'm having this conversation, this morning, with a co-worker......

Me: I see that George Zimmerman was involved in another shooting, shot AT this time.

Her: Who's George Zimmerman?

Me: The guy that shot Trayvon Martin.

Her: Who's Trayvon Martin?

Me: Uhhh... He was the kid shot by that over zealous neighborhood watch guy / bigot in Florida!

Her: Uhhh...I don't live in Florida!

Me: .....I know.....It's only been a constant story in the media for three years.

Her: I don't watch the news, it's too depressing.

This country scares me more every day.

Iowa to Fairbanks? It's even colder than most of Canuckistan.

Awww, man, Rick Santorum was in town and I missed him.....I wanted to see him and perhaps whip a croquet ball at his mouth.
