During mid 30-s to early '40 there was a huge thing for building new shopping centers (i guess that we can call them malls) to replace old markets. From 1936 to 1945 there were ~30 build all across the country. Sadly most of them were demolished in communism and the surviving ones were heavily modified, ruining the architecture.... Here are some pictures from 1936 at the opening of Central Halls of Ploiesti

1937, CREMIN Corporation HQ, Bucharest, Romania. CREMIN was a romanian corporation activating in the oil, gas and mining (mostly gold) sectors.







It had offices in Munich, Paris and Wien and a large chain of gas station in Romania, Germany, France and Austria. Here is a romanian CREMIN gas station in Tirol, Austria
