I think you're right, I've created this image to compare both sites after 3 weeks of works (5 weeks since July minus vacations for Avenue).

We can see they didn't do much... At day one, Rockabella already had heavy machinery and tubes piled on site... And the next day they took the whole parking lot, and not just the "top" part (not shown, this is only for day one)...

Nous avons déjà commencé les travaux sur le site, et nous serons déménagés complètement le 1er octobre dans le nouveau bureau des ventes qui sera à côté du Esso donc l'autre côté de la rue; pour l'instant ils travaillent beaucoup sur le bureau des ventes pour pouvoir nous déménager d'ici 2 mois; nous sommes déjà plus de 70% vendus, donc les ventes vont bien;

I think they're just moving the same rock pile around to make it look like things are happening, the real construction is suppose to start in October

I can tell you, that rock pile hasn't moved a bit in the last weeks...

And still no movements on the other side of the street, where the replacement "Pavillon des ventes" is supposed to be... Unless they mean the whole building, which somebody is renovating, but I think that's the restaurant...

We'll see what happens in October with construction, but I would be sooooo sad if this project didn't go up... I would be surprised if it didn't though.

Update from the Avenue team:

We are very pleased to tell you that the excavation will commence very
shortly. We are ready to go, the only reason we have not started is because
our new sales office is being put together as we speak. We are having a
ground breaking event coming up within the next couple of weeks and you will
be receiving an invitation from the L/Avenue team. The media will be
present along with all the residents of the tower.

We appreciate your patience. Please rest assure that L'Avenue will grace the
skylines of Montreal in the near future.

Best Regards

They are waiting for their sales office to be completed before starting excavation work (located right across the street). From what I last heard, the tower was 78% sold.

The new sales office must be in the building across the street, I posted a picture of it a couple of weeks ago...

The thing is, the post beside it mention a restaurant, not the sale office
