Glad we took one there, being down 2 would have sucked. Gonna be interesting on Sunday.
I heard they didn't sell out for game 1.

Anyhwooo, stronger game from the Canucks last night, which is what I expected. I think if the Flames can take one of the next two games in Calgary, they will have a decent chance at wining the series. The longer they hang around the better.

I swear, half of you don't ever actually pay attention to hockey and just make up stories to suit whatever game just happened. This along with fractures now being surgery instead of an injury - I'd laugh, except it's downright twilight zone around here this week.

Next up: more calls for Hartley to be fined, because if you can't play the Sedins against a line, it's an illegal line to ice.
Well, it is you whom is looking like he does not pay attention to hockey! Like I said typical Hartley goon fest.

He was fined 50K too.

Considering how small the Flames are its pretty funny. Such a bunch of thugs, who apparently cause line brawls every game and take huge penalty min.. uhh.

It's pretty obvious that by defending Hartley he was being a homer... My goodness, the guy gets fined 50K today but he hasn't done anything wrong? Give me a break.

First of all I think it's great that our guys get a fighting coach. We're a smaller team and our guys need to know how to defend themselves. Secondly the fine and majority of those articles are from last year. And my god you want to talk about unhinged psychos are you really going to defend Torterella? He had a way bigger fine than Hartley in the end and even had a game misconduct iirc.

Aaaaaaand another #1 pick goes to the NHL's rookie graveyard.

I think we can all agree that the country breathed one hell of a sigh of relief when they made it past the Leaves.

First try... hm, not bad. Didn't do squat to improve the team, but at least not a total waste. Some decent numbers.

Second and third tries.. well, so far pretty much nothing. 14 goals and 33 points for one of 'em, sounds like a decent second-rounder. But I guess it's better than a punch in the nuts.

But SURELY the fourth try will be the winner, amirite??

I wonder what the NHL record for #1 picks on a team at one time is.

It's not just 1st overall picks, they've been getting top 5 picks for a decade straight. Congrats deadmo for another successful season. I think it's literally impossible to still be the bottom dwellers of the league now.
