Walking by aA's hQ the other day, I was reminded of a design challenge that's been spinning in my head for a number of years: What to do about the North West corner of Adelaide Street West and Peter Street?
Currently home to New York Fur--hilarious I know--but is almost surrounded by highrise condo towers. It's a c.1860s mansion, built for a Toronto businessman named
Frederick Perkins.
Inspired by NimbyTect's 2014 concept greyed eh and 2013's $crewball EuroFAB aesthetic, I present The Perkins Mansion: a 30-something storey tower with a tiny 4000 sq ft floor plate and only 5 units per floor.
