The participation of women in politics is always an interesting and varied discussion...do I have an issue with an all-male council? No. Would I have an issue with an all-female council? No. People who worry about the gender or sex of their representatives rather than how they actually represent them need to get their priorities in order.
Quotas are easily the worst idea possible for an elected democracy.
