nice to see that final façade being put on. Do you know if this building will have any unique exterior lighting?

On facade, yes, very nice to see. In a couple more weeks, most of the scaffolding will be down and it will look like a building all of a sudden.

On lighting, yes, but it’s subtle. The lighting isn’t meant to call attention to itself on a skyline scale. Designed more for the human/pedestrian scale.

Great photo Raul, thank you for posting. I'm really loving this building and the glass. Can't wait for this to open up along with the Floodgate. It's really going to liven up this section of downtown.

Also, it appears that Casa De Oro has an "everything must go" sign. Do we know if this building has any planned development or just an expiring lease? It'd be really great to finish off this block as it leads into San Fernando. I am sad about Mex-Man closing down. Food was great and priced right.

Is that the finished facade? I'm assuming not because it looks like exposed concrete.

Don't believe so. TxDev posted a photo a few posts up where you could see it going on the other side of the building facing St. Marys.

Oh well. The Riverwalk part of the building is nice, and that's more important on a human level.

drove by today and that site along with the floodgate were busy. Does anyone have an idea of what that new overhang on crockett street is that connects to the Aztec Theatre? It appears permanent.

That’s a new “rooftop” bar at Aztec.

The construction cam is working again, focused on the front facade.

Fortunately, we won’t be able to see it from that angle for much longer.

I mean, I do like the contrast in facades between it and the surrounding buildings.

Will it remain that color when finished?

I hope not. It looks unfinished and really ugly.

It reminds me of the Jawa sandcrawler (minus the angled front end).
