Now we're discussing the possibilities of a supertall going ahead.

No one in the know is going post anything that isn't marketable. You're certainly not going to get a straightforward, truthful answer from anyone connected to the project.

I don't think there's a developers office I've been to where I haven't signed an NDA. As much as everyone would love to know details, no one's going to be risking their career over it.

A couple hours of open bar at a broker reception or other industry gathering is where you can hear the good stuff.

Sure. That's what I've said all these years. Never said the retail is a go no matter what given this location. I'm still going to be critical of Mizrahi's methods if he completes the supertall. I'm still going question whether he can pull it off. It's just becomes more serious as the project progresses to shoring. It would be a damn tragedy to have this stall out as a stagnant pond. Fortunately, we go back to retail.
So essentially, your describing what Reginians would call a "Capital Pointe" situation ~

Just noticed...pretty soon 3 Toronto projects (Harbourplaza Tower West & East, 88 Scott)
will be coming off this list....and another 3 Toronto projects will be added here unless a 198+ metre starts somewhere in Canada. (The One seemingly has...we'll see if it goes all the way to completion)

Sometime in the next year Ten York will be out of here as well, good to see the list shaking up a bit.

Yonge Street lanes closures will commence October 9th. Only $451,000 for 2 years. No doubt that will need to be extended.

A link to a final construction meeting by council for vote on Sept 6th. Just a formality at this point. It does say the tower is 86 floors not 82 so the height is still somewhat of a mystery at this point.

Some sort of platform. That's the underside. The top side is flat. Possible uses could be to hold up a construction office above the site, reinforce the vault under the sidewalk, pour a new vault roof.
