The Jets rookies and young players are also looking good. Winnipeg should also be odds-on favourites to win the Stanley Cup this year.

No guys, we're 3-0 so far this pre-season and we just beat a complete Avs team with 2 veterans in the lineup, the Cup is ours.

That made me snort coffee out of my nose and I'm a Montreal fan.

I hate preseason. As necessary as it is, it never truly predicts a team's performance in the upcoming season. I only watch it because I miss regular season hockey, but most regular players are not at their best.

All I'm ever hoping for is no injuries for anyone in the preseason. It is such a waste. Shrink it by half the games played and get on with the season so the season could end a week or two earlier.

Canucks game should be somewhat interesting with Shinkaruk-Horvat-Jensen making up the kid line. Supposedly there's 1 spot open with these guys fighting for it, so they should be trying to light it up.

We could start the preseason earlier, but I think it's too long.

Today's summary. Clarkson:

I didn't realize he was injured when you posted.

Makes sense now.

5 more day!!!
Can't wait for this crap known as pre-season to be over... I know it's important for the rookies but it's way too long.

Getting anxious to see my favorite player light goalies up again. If he somehow can get rid of his bad habit to start seasons awfully slow, I wouldn't be shocked he approaches the 50 goals mark (although I don't expect that).
37 goals in 61 games (50 goals pace) last year after a bad start to the season.

^ Patches seems to be ready. I don't know for Parenteau though, he didn't seem at the top of his game in the preseason (I know it doesn't mean anything, but it still messes with my head lol). Hopefully this year Galchenyuk becomes the offensive machine he is ought to be, and Beaulieu establishes himself as a regular D-man.

I feel bad for Christian Thomas, he played really well, but Sekac seems more ready for a roster spot... Part of the game I guess, but I love how the guy worked his ass off in the preseason.

Last night Vancouver 3 Edmonton 1. The Canucks are now 3-0 against Alberta teams. At least that hasn't changed YET.

Budaj traded to Jets.

I must admit I am going to miss him... he is absolutely everything you want in a backup.

But it's time for Tokarski to become the backup and some team would have claimed him if he was put on waivers (in order to go in the AHL).

Now the Jets are in the same situation with Michael Hutchinson. After his late season performance with the Jets and his impressive run to the AHL finals last season, the backup position was his. But then he had to go and have a shaky preseason. So ... Budaj it apparently is.
