How expensive is Exotic Architecture in Canada.

Serious question, looking at some unique designs and it got me thinking what keeps this from becoming more normal in canada.

Of course the easiest assumption is that we lack the funds for the kind of things done in europe and elsewhere however I can't see this being the case if our real estate market is truly one of the worlds most expensive.

So is it climate related, supply chain limitations, or something more specific.
