^Booming is correct. With the Arch Grounds at 375 million, Centenes new HQ at 770 million, the city foundry project at 340 million, BJC Hospital expansion at 1.2 billion, the NGA's 1.75 billion new HQ, and SSM/SLU 550 million hospital complex that is approximately 5 billion in central corridor projects under construction or planned. That doesn't include any of the residential projects, the next phase of cortex, or BPV Phase II.

At 6-stories, 210,000 square feet, this $95-million edifice is under construction for World Wide Technology, Inc., which is a $7-billion firm.

Lately, St. Louis firms have been building and proposing 'build-to-suit' projects verses becoming tenants in taller structures.

Metro St. Louis loves her parks and green spaces.

Below, work continues on the Gateway Mall, which stretches for slightly more than a mile (from the Mississippi River/Gateway Arch to St. Louis Union Station).

Below is work on the Kiener Plaza portion of the Gateway Mall, while work is also continuing on the Gateway Archgrounds.

The project's overall price tag is nearly $400-million for all phases.

The Grove strip (Manchester Ave/Missouri 100) in St. Louis City is one of the hottest strips under continuous development.

Developers are now clamoring for a slice of city-owned land (a parking lot) to build a mixed-use development.

Here are a couple of infill renderings for the latest project proposed for The Grove.

Read about the proposals HERE and HERE.

Remediation at old Federal-Mogul foundry in Midtown St. Louis (Central Corridor) is under way.

The planned $340-million development will have residential, office, hotel and retail. New renderings have been released.

This development is next to CORTEX - St. Louis' Innovation District.

London-billionaire, Lord Paul, has invested in the development.

As a result of this development, land and property are being scouted for new development in the vicinity.

Phase II of The Boulevard across from The St. Louis Galleria is soon to get underway by Chicago developers.

Phase I was completed in 2006. The 2007 recession delayed Phase II.

Here are the latest renderings for the $220-million Phase II of Ballpark Village in downtown St. Louis.

They were released today by the St. Louis Cardinals organization, which is negotiating public subsidies with the city.

Plans for Phase II includes a 29-story residential tower (rentals) rising 320' feet and a 10-story Class A office building. The new phase will include retail, entertainment and restaurants.

Construction is anticipated to begin in late 2017 with construction wrapping up in 2019.

There are 2 billion dollars worth of projects under construction or proposed just on this specific page alone right now. It finally feels like STL is getting some momentum and hopefully we can build on it from here.

Not a big building in height, but this is the new HQs for World Wide Technology, Inc. - a $7-billion private firm HQd in suburban St. Louis (Maryland Heights/Westport).

Due for completion in 2017, the $95-million, 210K project will be able to house an additional 1000 workers.

Here are some leaked Ballpark Village renderings for future phases designed by Hord Coplan Macht.

Future phases apparently include another mixed-use residential tower and mixed-use hotel project.

Upcoming phases are to include retail.

Word on the street is that St. Louis-based World Wide Technology's Asynchrony Labs - a software firm - is planning to be a tenant in downtown's newest office building - Cupples X.

The $42-million, 120K building will be built on an available track of land in the Cupples Station warehouse district, which is just west of the Cardinals' Busch Stadium and Ballpark Village.

The new structure would sit just south of the Busch Stadium MetroLink Station, which just underwent a renovation.

Asychrony Labs is already located in Cupples 9, but plans to add 300 new jobs to downtown St. Louis.

More news on the Central Corridor's development.

City Foundry's $134.2 million Phase I is currently underway.

Later phases call for a 24-story apartment tower, a 500-car parking garage, apartments, an office midrise, a greenway and an elevated pedestrian walkway over I-64.

City Foundry is on Forest Park Avenue, just east of the CORTEX tech district and sits just south of St. Louis University's Main Campus.

The area is bounded by I-64, Vandeventer Avenue, Forest Park Avenue and Spring Avenue.

Here's a model looking east along I-64 towards Illinois.

Here's a rendering looking west northwest.
